There are two citizenship programs for Dominica. Under the first program, a person may choose to apply for Dominica’s citizenship by purchasing an approved real estate property. Under the second program, citizenship can be applied for by donating to Dominica’s government housing fund.

Real Estate Option

A person can buy an approved real estate property for USD 220,000 to apply for the citizenship of Dominica. The investment sum is the same for one applicant and for families having up to four (4) members. A person has to pay separate fees for processing of the application. The processing fees and the investment sum are paid in two instalments.

Donation Option

A willing applicant can make a donation to Dominica’s government housing fund in exchange of its citizenship. The donation sum ranges between USD 100,000 to USD 160,000, depending on the number of co-applicants. Applicant’s are required to deposit additional fees for processing of the application. The donation sum and the processing fees are payable in two instalments.

Anyone who is above the age of eighteen (18 years) and has a clean track record can apply for citizenship of Dominica. The following family members are also eligible to apply as co-applicants:

• Husband or wife,
• Child below the age of eighteen (18) years.
• A child enrolled in a university, who is financially supported by the applicant. The child must be between the age of eighteen to twenty-five (18 – 25) years.
• A physically or mentally challenged child of the age eighteen (18) years and above. The child must be living with the applicant.
• An unmarried daughter of the applicant, who is living with and is financially supported by the applicant.
• Parents / grandparents above the age of fifty-five (55) The applicant must be fully supporting the parents / grandparents.
